The Ohio State Title Match will be held August 30^th - September 1^st 2008

The 2008 Ohio State Title Match
August 30^th  - September 1^st at Rodeway Inn in Medina, Ohio

• Alex Moiseyev of Dublin, Ohio declared 2008 OHIO MATCH CHAMPION

• Alex Moiseyev of Dublin, Ohio, successfully defended his Ohio State Match Title 2-0 with 10 draws against Richard Beckwith of Willoughby, Ohio.

• The 12-game match took place at the Rodeway Inn in Medina, Ohio on August 30 - September 1.

• Alex won games #10 and #12, with Dr. Beckwith saying, "It was a closer scored match  than I thought it would be."

• All games were 3-move style and played by clocks with 24 moves per hour.

• Alex won the Ohio State Match Title in 2005 against Beckwith by a score of 5-1 with 10 draws.

• The match received much local newspapers, magazine coverage, and a radio interview.

• Cleveland Magazine, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and Lake County News-Herald all did articles, and a local radio station did an interview with Richard Beckwith Tuesday morning.
